Evolution — the birth of Sigbin Haus
In 2023, Dennis and Janjan made a bold and imaginative decision: the tennis court that had served guests since the resort's completion was reimagined and transformed into something entirely new. In its place rose Sigbin Haus — a distinctive venue that added a fresh dimension to the Eden experience. Named after the mythical creature of Visayan folklore, Sigbin Haus carries the spirit of the region in its very identity, blending the magic of local legend with the warm hospitality Eden has always been known for.

Completion — the full Eden experience
By 2010, Eden Resort reached its full expression. The addition of the tennis court gave guests yet another way to spend their days, while the founders' private residence — built within the resort grounds — cemented the deeply personal character of the place. Eden was no longer just an idea or a work in progress. It was complete: a living, breathing sanctuary that bore the unmistakable mark of two people who had given it everything.

Soft opening — Eden welcomes its first guests
After four years of dedicated work, Eden Resort softly opened its doors in 2007. It was a milestone moment — the first guests arrived to find a resort still growing into itself, but already offering the warmth, calm, and natural beauty that Dennis and Janjan had always intended. The soft opening was a quiet announcement to the world: Eden had arrived.

Construction begins
With the land secured, construction commenced before the year was out. The founders threw themselves into the work — overseeing every detail, making decisions large and small, and gradually watching their blueprint take physical form. The years that followed were years of building: of laying foundations, raising walls, shaping spaces, and slowly transforming raw land into a place of rest and welcome.

A new beginning in Santander
Dennis and Janjan made the decisive move to Santander, drawn by the municipality's untouched beauty and tranquil character. In those early months, they walked the land, studied the terrain, and searched for the right property — a place with enough space and spirit to hold the resort they envisioned. By late 2003, they had found their ground and, without delay, broke earth and began to build.
